Install Unwaver on Windows
About a minute, start to finish. Windows warns you once, because the installer isn't code-signed yet. The walkthrough shows exactly what to click.

Version 2.4.1 · What's new
A short looping animation of installing Unwaver on Windows. You open Unwaver_2.4.1_x64-setup.exe from the browser's downloads. A blue "Windows protected your PC" box appears; you click More info, then Run anyway. In Unwaver Setup you click Next, then Install, and once it has installed, Finish. Unwaver opens on its sign-in screen. The same steps are written out below.
Now click Run anyway.
The same steps, written out
-
Open the installer
Open Unwaver_2.4.1_x64-setup.exe from your browser's downloads, or double-click it in your Downloads folder. If the browser holds the file back as "not commonly downloaded", see below.
-
In the blue box, click More info
A blue box says Windows protected your PC. That's Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. It shows up because the installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows can't tell who made it. Click More info, just under the message.
-
Click Run anyway
The box now names the file and says Publisher: Unknown publisher. Click Run anyway. You won't see this box again: updates install without it.
-
Click Next, Install, then Finish
Setup installs Unwaver in your own user folder, so it never asks for an administrator password. Leave Run Unwaver ticked, click Finish, and Unwaver opens on its sign-in screen. Your 7-day trial starts when you create your account.
Good to know
Is it safe to click Run anyway?
The warning means Windows doesn't recognise the publisher, not that it found anything wrong with the file. New apps without a code-signing certificate all get it. Only click Run anyway on an installer you downloaded from unwaver.ai yourself.
If your browser stops the download
Edge and Chrome sometimes hold back an .exe that few people have downloaded yet. Open the downloads list (Ctrl + J) and choose to keep the file. Edge may ask once more: choose Show more, then Keep anyway.
No administrator password
Unwaver installs for your Windows account only, in AppData\Local\Unwaver, so it works on a PC you don't administer. If Windows 10 is missing Microsoft's WebView2, setup fetches it quietly first, so stay online.
Opening it each day
Unwaver doesn't start by itself when you sign in to Windows. Open it from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut when you start work. Closing its window quits it.
Updates
It downloads new versions in the background and installs them when you close it. You only ever download it from here once.
Uninstalling
Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Unwaver, then Uninstall. On Windows 10 the list is under Apps & features.
Needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), an internet connection, and a microphone for talking to it.
